The ability to examine the bony structure of the horse is an integral part in assessing lameness and injury and prognosis for recovery. Radiographs (X-rays) can be taken in the field and developed soon after for diagnosis and treatment of these problems. Radiographs can be taken of many joints, bones, hooves and are also used as a diagnostic for dental abnormalities.
